Berserk is an extremely violent, horrible and graphic manga which often is labelled as ‘too mature’ for the audience. The manga is not ideal for those who are easily scared or get upset. The manga is for the matured audience ready to read and appreciate the illustration and story regardless of the graphic nature of the manga.
Guts and his companions are able to freely carry on their journey aboard the ship due to the sacrifice of Farnese. That is, if they want to leave Farnese behind, but having to choose between their mission and their loyalities may not be a problem if the Kushan emperor and his army of monstrous minions. There might not be much left of Farnese’s family, or pretty much, citizenry to save.
