Berserk is an extremely violent, horrible and graphic manga which often is labelled as ‘too mature’ for the audience. The manga is not ideal for those who are easily scared or get upset. The manga is for the matured audience ready to read and appreciate the illustration and story regardless of the graphic nature of the manga.
When Guts was one of the top mercenary for The Band of the Hawk, a specialized unit led by Griffith, whose calmness and beauty belied his fighitng prowess and iron will. While in King’s Service, the romance between the king’s daughter and Griffith and the ever increasing favour of king towards Griffith makes the prince jealous and thus, he attempts an assassination on Griffith. The only fault in the plan is that if their attempt fails, the king’s son will have to face Guts and his gigantic sword thirsty for blood.
