Berserk is an extremely violent, horrible and graphic manga which often is labelled as ‘too mature’ for the audience. The manga is not ideal for those who are easily scared or get upset. The manga is for the matured audience ready to read and appreciate the illustration and story regardless of the graphic nature of the manga.
The leader of the elite mercenary group, Band of the Hawk, has been defeated by Guts as his way out of the Band, which leaves Griffith pretty much humiliated. To ease his pain, he goes to the King’s daughter, but the King does not like it, so he is sentenced to dungeon and the torture rack. Without Griffith and Guts, the Hawks become easy targets for Midland’s army.
