Ichigo Kurasaki has always been capable of seeing ghosts. His family is attacked by a hollow, a lost spirit. Ichigo becomes a soul reaper and dedicates his whole life to protect the innocent and assisting the lost souls in finding their way back to peace.
Ichigo Kurosaki was very young at the time of her mother’s death. One day, Ichigo tried to stop a young girl from drowning in a river. His mother ran after him trying to protect Ichigo. After Ichigo came back to his senses, he found his mother dead and the little girl gone. On the occasion of his mother’s death anniversary, the Kurosaki clan and former Soul Reaper Rukia Kuchiki goes to the cemetery to pay her respects. Ichigo confronts the Grand Fisher, the Hollow that might have played a role in her mother’s death.
