Tanjiro is a boy living with his family and earns a livelihood by selling charcoals in the city in Taisho-era Japan. Demons are creature that devours humans and Tanjiro’s family is killed by a demon. His sister Nezuko is the only one to survive but she is turned into a demon, but his brother refuses to abandon her and takes an oath to turn her sister back into a human by enlisting in Demon Slayer Corps in order to fight demons and learn the truth about them.
The strange shape-shifting demons Hatengu and Gyokko attack Tanjiro and his friends in the hidden village of swordsmiths. The Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito, takes on the demons, but this cannot be done without the help from Tanjiro and another Demon Slayer, Genya. The situation is not in their favor as they have to fight two upper rank demons and to add on their misery a demon that can separate himself into four bodies, will they be able to stop the demons?
