Ken Kaneki is a normal college student until his date turns out to be a Ghoul who devours human and Kaneki turns into a half-human half-ghoul as he is attacked by her. Having the traits of both creatures, he is forced to live in two worlds in the same body and to start mastering his newfound powers.
An initiative is taken to kill the ghoul known as the One-Eyed Owl in the 20th Ward by the investigators of CCG, that ghoul possibly having ties with both Akira and Yoshimura. A full-fledged battle is started as Anteiku café is believed to be hiding the One Eyed Owl inspiring an assault on the café.
