Ken Kaneki is a normal college student until his date turns out to be a Ghoul who devours human and Kaneki turns into a half-human half-ghoul as he is attacked by her. Having the traits of both creatures, he is forced to live in two worlds in the same body and to start mastering his newfound powers.
In the fiery face-off between Kaneki and the best fighter in the CCG, Arima, several investigators launch an assault operation on Yoshimura, not aware of the threat that lies ahead. The battle takes a turn to the south as the One-Eyed Owl appears leaving the battle between Kaneki and CCG hanging in the middle.
